Drive More Traffic To Your Blog by Featuring a Guest Author

video

While you probably know that adding a personal touch is key in making your site stand out from the crowd and get noticed, having a guest author is a terrific way to send traffic to your web site or blog.

Sending out a notice that you're looking for an author to feature creates excitement about your site, and accepting post and content submissions gives you a high level of reader participation.

Now that you've decided upon a guest author and have posted their submission, you can be sure that he or she has told everyone on their list to come and check out your site! This brings you entirely new people (hello new traffic!) to look at your site – and when they see it, they will also see what you're offering and more visitors to your site means more money in your bank account each month! Expanding their network and audience will also encourage guest authors to submit they're content to your site because being introduced to your circle of readers can greatly expand their web presence.

Be sure to encourage authors to want to work with you by offering a featured author’s tab, pics and links to their website. It's not just about generating traffic. Guest authors can also supply you with fresh content without any effort on your part. They can expand on topics you don't know much about thus giving added value to your readers. All parties – you, your guest author, and your viewers will benefit from this exchange and that means more traffic (and revenue) for you!

Who Knew?

Who knew that I'd be learning so much while building my business? I mean, it goes without saying that there's training and reading and mentorship and leadership which is all necessary when you start down this path. What I love learning, however, and what adds to my value are all the little things I learn along the way as well.

The newest little tip is TinyUrl.com. This nifty little site allows you to enter in a very long url and shorten it up. Here's an example:

Turn this URL:

http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?type=3&campid=5336224516&toolid=10001&customid=tiny-hp&ext=unicycle&satitle=unicycle

into this tinyURL:

http://tinyurl.com/unicycles

Isn't that terrific? So useful in sites like Twitter and Facebook where you're limited as to the number of characters you can type in an update.

I don't know about you but I get real excited about stuff like this so keep checking back because as I learn.....so will you.

The Power Of Words

video

Word of mouth, the sharing of information from one person to the next through talking, used to be just that; accomplished via an oral exchange. Now, with the emergence of email, social networks and texting with our cel phones, this exchange can go far beyond speaking to someone face-to-face.

That being said (no pun intended), it's no wonder that various social networks such as Twitter, Facebook and Youtube are used by many to generate a natural "buzz" about a product or service that they either offer or have heard about and now use. Conversions are much higher when someone recommends your business to another vs. seeing an ad and 60-70% of all internet traffic out there is because of word of mouth marketing. That's shouldn't be overlooked.

If you're not utilizing these types of social media, you really should be. They're easy, fun and, best of all, a FREE WAY to market your business. Be sure not to SPAM people, though; social media is designed to be "social" and building rapport with someone up front will lead to their natuarally asking what you do for a living.

Makes sense doesn't it?

The Happiest Place On Earth

Today my 9-year-old son, Jack, asked me what life would be like without Walt Disney. Now, I grew up in southern California and, I daresay, cut my teeth on The Magic Kingdom. I love Disneyland! I love the sites, the sounds, the smells, the atmosphere, the fritters and the frozen bananas. No California Adventure or Epcot Center for me, thank you very much...I'm a purist. Those others don't hold a candle to the original park and never will. So, what would life be like without Walt Disney? A lot less magical I'm thinking.

I discovered something interesting while reading about Mr. Disney. He totally understood the principles of Magnetic Sponsoring and branded himself as a leader. Certainly, not in the sense that we're learning about here but I'd say a $35 billion dollar empire speaks for itself.

Now, I'm not going to sit here and say that you're going to build a billion dollar empire by learning and applying these principles to your home business; I will tell, however, that your business will never be the same once you do.

Is it magic? Not in the 'David Copperfield' sence, no. Magnetic Sponsoring is real and it does have the ability to magically transform your business from what it is now into what you've dreamed it could be from the beginning...The Happiest Place On Earth.

I Don't Pay For Leads Anymore!!!

video

Remeber when you got started in your MLM opportunity? You were Locked, Cocked and Ready to Rock and there was no stopping you! You bought a couple hundred leads, handed out sizzle cards to everyone you met, wrote down everyone you ever knew on your warm list, attended every meeting and you were SO exCIted!!!! You were going to be one of the top earners in your company and your downline was going to expand exponentially!

But...it never happend did it? You tried. Did everything your upline told you to do and still, after several months ~ or maybe even several years ~ your business didn't explode and you can't keep enough people in your downline to make the money you hoped you would.

You are so not alone in this. This is what 97% of network marketers experience in this type of business. Chasing people down to expand your business DOESN'T WORK!

The quicker you can let go and let the principles of Attraction Marketing be your guide to building your business, the quicker you'll see the results you need...the results you want!

It really is that simple.

It Should Be So Simple

You would think that the most simple task would be the most simple to learn simply because of it's simplistic nature. ~ Annalea Sommerville

Yep. I just made that up (I give you permission to quote me) and despite it's tongue twisting nature, there's truth in it. For instance, getting stains out of white clothing should be a simple process: you treat the stain, put bleach in the water for added UMPH and the stain should be gone once the washing process is done. So why is it, then, that the stubborn little stain grins back up at you when you check to see that it's gone before you toss your laundry into the dryer? This mystery eludes me despite trying every conceivable method of effective stain removal known to human society. Or at least that's available at Target.

Still...the fight continues and I will press on.

Last night, when I was writing my post it took me 10 minutes to figure out how to insert a link into what I was writing (many rolling eyes here, I'm sure) before I finally went to the help section and had it done within 20 seconds! Now why didn't I just do that in the first place? I would have saved myself much frustration and time. And, for those of you who may be new to blogging (like myself) and don't know how to do this...I will tell you:
  • Type out your post and include the text that you want to link, like your website (in my case, it was MLM Surge)
  • Highlight the text
  • Click on the link icon which looks like a little piece of chain (or a paperclip, IMHO) over a globe
  • Type the URL you want to link to into the hyperlink window that pops up
  • Press OK
  • Now your text is linked and it will appear in a different color and be underlined

It's as simple as that!

I love trying to figure things out on my own but I also realize that I'll save myself a lot of headaches by going to people who know or clicking the help tab....Hello! Asking is a good thing; especially when building your business.

So....does anyone know how to get stains out of white clothes?
